Denim on Denim

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend. I miss waking up to a basket full of Peeps and chocolate eggs. Instead I treated myself to a new Mac lipstick (Candy Yum Yum, which I'm wearing today) and I'm loving it. When I applied the lipstick in the store the girls started showering me with compliments like it was chosen from the gods. And I'm pretty sure they get paid to do that because it happens every time!
It also started to get a little chilly and a rainy again. Therefore, I haven't really gotten a chance to wear any of my true spring clothing. I don't know if it's just me but, I feel as if the weather has been a little odd this year. Tell me I'm not the only one! I hope the world isn't ending soon, I have lots of goals that I need to accomplish... I still want to go to Coachella (priorities, haha).
Anyways, I must go. Today's my one month anniversary with my boyfriend and I know he has a few plans up his sleeve. I feel like I've known him for so much longer and he's so wonderful to me. I am counting my blessings every day. Thanks for reading guys! Much love x

Essie Plumberry

Lately, I've been obsessed with this color. It's like a perfect mixture of plum red with a hint of pink. And best of all, this universal color can be used throughout all four seasons.
My favorite thing about this varnish is that it's so opaque and shiny that doesn't even need a top coat! At first, I thought it was just another shade of red to add to my collection. But when you go out into the light, there's this beautiful pink undertone that's impossible not to love. So if you haven't already, I suggest you add Plumberry to your shelves. I will most definitely buy this shade again.

Wow! Who knew taking pictures in a nature park would be so awkward. It was definitely out of my comfort zone. Whenever someone walked past us, I would look so embarrassed. But it was so worth it. It's great practice for me to be more comfortable in front of the camera for once. I love how the pictures came out and afterwards we got to chill by the beach. I even saw a horse shoe crab! I'm in the mood for some retail therapy so expect a haul to come very soon for I'm still in the process of building my wardrobe with some more staple pieces. Other than that, I know this isn't really much of a spring look but it's still rather chilly in the Carolinas so for now, this will do. Does it feel like spring where you're from?
